FLOODING

As you are aware, during the last heavy rain storm the streets of Fairway Estates flooded again and some streets were impassible. Unfortunately some homes were also damaged. City officials have been invited to tell residents as to what they are going to do to correct this issue (and when) and perhaps get Fairway Estates removed form the re-classification to a FLOOD ZONE.

Things To Remember: / Keep your cars locked, garage doors down, and doors locked-don’t be an EASY TARGET for thieves as there have been items stolen from unlocked cars and open garages/PARKING: There is city wide “no parking on the street” (this includes lawns) -DO NOT park on the street let alone on both sides restricting traffic flow. There have been numerous complaints from residents and you could get an expensive ticket!! SPEEDING: The speed limit is 25MPH-PLEASE be cautious with people walking, biking and jogging in the street. PETS: Most of us love our pets but PLEASE clean up after your pet. Please don’t leave your dogs out barking throughout the night and in early mornings...be a responsible pet owner. DON'T LITTER  on your property, your neighbors or in the street or the medians. PLEASE CONTINUE TO keep our community beautiful and clean. RECYCLE: The city provides FREE recycling bins. Put your paper, card board, bottles, cans in the bin NOT in your garbage can. Recycle day in Fairway Estates is every Wednesday. Know your watering days: Homes with odd #s Wednesday & Saturday. Even #s Thursday & Sunday-No watering between 10 & 4PM. Conserve water….it’s a precious resource.
